Deeper Level (2021)

We begin from the obvious fact that the human being is drowned into a deep slumber. With the passing of time, human somnambulism is getting worse, and the need for awakening, becoming more and more urgent.

Artistic practice must, therefore, offer ontological instruments that lead both the craftsman/woman and the spectator to the awakening of consciousness. In her work, Claudia Melo reveals images displayed as an assembly of thresholds capable of provoking psychic transformation, fulfilling thus the essential function of art.
