PLATA – DEFORM AND RE-FORM (2024)

I participated in the exhibition DEFORM AND RE-FORM at the Oodi Central Library in Helsinki. Oodi is a landmark in Helsinki and one of the wonderful things it offers artists exhibiting on its projected screens is the opportunity to be part of the central landscape of the city.
The inspiration for PLATA came from a visit to the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art in Chile. I was deeply moved by their traditional art, especially the silver ornaments worn by Mapuche women.
